ARISE, a grant-funded campus organization designed to enrich the curriculum of science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses, will host a six-course program for faculty.
The program, “Learning by Design,” begins Sept. 14 in Chase Hall, Room 113.
Program participants will learn how to use the evidence-based backward-design process to develop a new STEM course, redesign the course, or envision new ways to address challenges in courses currently being taught. They will also receive a $500 stipend.
Each meeting will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Chase Hall. Lunch and materials will be provided. Meeting dates are Sept. 14, Sept. 28, Oct. 12, Oct. 26, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16.
Registration for the program ends Sept. 12. and is capped at 20 participants.
