The Glenn Korff School of Music presents a combined concert featuring the Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Singers titled “All at Once” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in Kimball Recital Hall.
The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will also be available via live webcast.
The Jazz Orchestra is under the direction of Greg Simon, associate professor of composition. Their program includes Derrick Gardner’s “Heavens to Murgatroyd!,” Neal Hefti’s “Lil’Darlin’,” Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” arranged by Bill Holman, Christine Jensen’s “Dancing Sunlight” featuring Darryl White, associate professor of trumpet, and Sammy Nestico’s “Magic Flea.”
The Jazz Singers are under the direction of Lecturer David von Kampen. Their program includes “Quality Time,” “Wallflower Lonely, Cornflower Blue,” “Play Ball” and “Blizzard of Lies,” all by Dave Frishberg and arranged by von Kampen.
