A new speaker series featuring Indigenous museum and cultural professionals continues Feb. 12 with a talk by Patricia Norby, associate curator of Native American art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The talk, which is free and open to the public, is 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Great Plains Art Museum. The event includes a reception with light refreshments in the museum lobby starting at 5 p.m.
Norby, associate curator of Native American art at the Met, is a part of the Purépecha tribe, an indigenous group centered in the northwestern region of Michoacán, Mexico. She will talk about her curatorial work that features Indigenous perspectives and experiences. Read more about her work in The New York Times.
