The HealthierU Employee Wellness program is offering summer programs for university employees. The offerings include a virtual movement program, Move Across Nebraska, as well as two in-person sport leagues.

Details about the programs include:

Move Across Nebraska

Employees are invited to participate in the first Move Across Nebraska Virtual Wellness Challenge. During this challenge, participants can choose to register in the walking, running or cycling leagues. Registered participants will receive various challenge routes throughout the summer to be completed within a given period.

Each league is divided into two categories of difficulty: beginner and advanced. Each route was designed to connect participants from one specific location in Nebraska to another. When each new route is released, information about these specific landmarks will be included in the route launch email packet.

Information and registration is online. The program begins June 3.

Sport leagues

This summer, two sport leagues for UNL employees are begin offered: disc golf and pickleball. The registration deadline for both leagues is May 24. If interested in learning more about the leagues or to register to participate in a league, visit the official HealthierU summer programs [website.]https://healthieru.unl.edu/summer-2024-programs)
