Patrick Habecker

Patrick Habecker

Patrick Habecker, a research assistant professor with the Rural Health Addiction Research Center, will deliver a talk on the different ways we measure rurality, what we mean by rural, and how rural intersects with substance use research. The talk, which is free and open to the public, is 1:30 p.m. Jan. 13 and available via Zoom.

Register to attend virtually here.

Habecker’s research focuses on substance use and policy, survey research methods, and recruiting hard to reach populations. His most recent work has focused on stigma towards people who use drugs and support for different substance policy options. At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Rural Drug Addiction Research Center, Habecker works to recruit and work with people who use drugs in southeastern Nebraska.

This talk is sponsored by the Rural Drug Addiction Research Center.
