The University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites its supporters to “Glow All In” during Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving Feb. 17-18. Information about the online fundraising event, including a kickoff video and options for giving, is available at UNL’s Glow Big Red webpage.
Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving is an annual fundraising event now in its third year. It has become another honored Husker tradition. The event harnesses the power of Nebraska’s students, faculty and staff, and shows how this powerful network can come together to support Husker students, improve the educational experience and keep quality education accessible to all.
Here are the top three ways to participate:
First, give. Make a gift of $5 or more during this 24-hour period to support Husker students and help the university reach its goal of 2,500 gifts.
Second, light it up. Light your room, apartment, home or business in red to let your Husker pride shine.
And third, share your story. Using social media, share your Nebraska story and about those who glowed and inspired you. Use #GlowBigRed to share your story and why you support Nebraska.
Participants can make a gift toward Glow Big Red now through noon Feb. 18.
Those who contribute $60 or more will receive a Nebraska scarf as a thank you. Scarfs will be mailed three to five weeks after the event.
