Brian Lepard, professor of law, will discuss human rights and how they can be applied to humanitarian issues in North Korea during a 3 p.m. April 5 talk in Andrews Hall, Room 221.
The presentation, “International Law and the Case of North Korea,” is the final Global Café of the spring semester. It is free and open to the public.
Lepard is an expert in the field of international and human rights law. In the talk, he will examine the international context of human rights and how to apply them to humanitarian issues in North Korea. In a broader context, Lepard will discuss the importance of international law and the using human rights for peace. A discussion and brief question and answer session will follow the talk.
