Nebraska’s “All Things Green” series continues with a noon, Aug. 2 brown bag talk at the Jane Snyder Trail Center, 228 N. 21st St.
Led by Mark Canney, park planner with Lincoln Parks and Recreation, the “Functional Landscapes” talk will focus on the aesthetics in public spaces. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to the presentation.
“As our city grows, so does demand for beautiful public places,” Canney said. “Even with shrinking city budgets, our staff remains committed to creating relevant and accessible landscapes that everyone can enjoy.”
The “All Green Things” series is sponsored by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Lincoln Parks and Recreation and the Downtown Lincoln Association.
