Arno Michaelis
Arno Michaelis, a former white supremacist and author of “My Life After Hate,” will speak at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.
Beginning at 17, Michaelis was deeply involved in the white-power movement. He was a founding member of the largest racist skinhead organization in the world and the lead singer of a race-metal band. Today he is a public speaker, embracing diversity and gratitude after the birth of his daughter and the murder of a close friend.
The event, co-sponsored by UPC Nebraska and the OASIS Student Advisory Board, is free for students with a valid NCard and $5 for faculty, staff and the public.
