The University of Nebraska system seeks input from faculty, staff, students and stakeholders on a new strategic planning framework draft. The framework, which is built on five foundational pillars, will serve as a roadmap to guide the university’s future growth and impact.
The five pillars include:
- Extraordinary Teaching and Learning — Enhancing innovative and inclusive educational experiences;
- Extraordinary Research and Creative Activity — Driving discovery and innovation to address key challenges;
- Extraordinary Partnerships and Engagement — Expanding collaboration across Nebraska and beyond;
- Extraordinary Culture and Environment — Fostering an inclusive and supportive university community; and
- Extraordinary Stewardship and Effectiveness — Maximizing resources for long-term impact.
Dr. Jeffrey P. Gold, president of the NU system, has emphasized the importance of broad participation in shaping this plan, noting that every university department, program and partnership will play a role in its success.
“This is a pivotal moment for the University of Nebraska,” Gold said. “Your input will help ensure that our strategic plan reflects the priorities, ideas and aspirations of our university community. I encourage you to share your thoughts as we work together to create an extraordinary future.”
