A retirement reception for Tom Farrell, senior adviser to the chancellor for international affairs, is 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 3 at the Van Brunt Visitors Center.
During his years on campus, Farrell has advised the Office of the Chancellor and campus leaders about international partnerships. These partnerships advance interests and growth objectives in international student recruitment and enrollment, research collaborations, public/private partnerships and study abroad opportunities.
Farrell also worked with the leadership of University of Nebraska’s Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute to expand its global reach and to strengthen campus ties to international and U.S. higher education associations, as well as foreign and U.S. government agencies and departments.
