Faculty, staff, students sought to serve on University Conduct Board

City Campus west of Love Library

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is seeking volunteers to serve as members of the University Conduct Board. Board members receive training and serve on conduct panels throughout the year as their schedules allow.

University Conduct Board members are faculty, staff and students who are trained in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Student Code of Conduct process and committed to supporting student learning through the conduct process. Members serve on panels of at least three people to determine whether students or student organizations are responsible for violations of the Student Code of Conduct and recommend appropriate responses that foster student growth and development.

The board plays an important role in formal code of conduct cases by ensuring students have an opportunity to have their cases reviewed by a representative body of the university. There is no minimum number of panels members must serve on each year, but Student Conduct and Community Standards encourages participation as schedules allow.

Faculty and staff members interested in participating should apply online here.

Students interested in participating should apply online here.

Applications must be submitted by Aug. 26. Selected applicants will be required to participate in training sessions as policies and procedures are updated or new topics need to be addressed. Training dates and times will be provided to selected board members once scheduled.

Questions may be directed to Student Conduct and Community Standards at 402-472-2021 or studentconduct@unl.edu.
