Faculty, staff, graduate students sought for Investigations Team

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is searching for candidates to serve as interviewers on its Investigations Team.

Team members will assist in the investigations of alleged violations of the university's student code of conduct for large-scale student organizations, including but not limited to, Recognized Student Organizations, sports clubs, fraternities and sororities.

As an interviewer, team members will be trained in how to facilitate interviews, gather information from organization members and other relevant parties, as well as how to effectively capture and identify valuable information throughout the meeting.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Extending courtesy, respect, and professionalism to all parties involved;
  • Ability to work with a variety of student organizations;
  • Maintaining confidentiality of information through the investigation process;
  • Remaining neutral and nonjudgmental as a member of the Investigations Team;
  • Following the investigation procedure process;
  • Facilitate interviews with students and other involved parties when necessary;
  • Documenting interviewee responses during the interview; and
  • Providing detailed notes/summary of interview(s) after the investigation.

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Knowledge of campus resources;
  • Comfort documenting responses in written form; and
  • Full-time staff, faculty, or graduate/professional student.
