Faculty advisers are being sought for Nebraska’s Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience program during summer 2019 and the 2019-20 academic year.
The UCARE program supports undergraduate students engaged in research and creative activities under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Students from all majors and disciplines can apply.
Student participants commit 10 hours per week to research or creative activity projects and receive a stipend of $2,400. At the end of the UCARE term, students present their research findings in a campus-wide poster session. Eligibility requirements are available online.
Faculty advisers can oversee up to three students with UCARE funding per term. Students must identify and confirm an adviser and project before applying. The application period for summer 2019 is Dec. 3 to Jan. 21. The application period for the 2019-20 academic year is Feb. 4 to March 11.
Faculty interested in serving as a UCARE adviser should contact Justina Clark at jclark17@unl.edu.
