A new benefit is rolling out for University of Nebraska–Lincoln employees through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska — Hinge Health.

With Hinge Health, employees can access virtual exercise therapy and personalized support at no cost. Whether dealing with everyday aches or recovering from an injury, the program is designed to help participants feel and move better.

With Hinge Health, users can:

  • Recover from an injury;
  • Relieve pelvic pain and discomfort;
  • Reduce everyday joint and muscle aches; and
  • Improve balance and strength.

Users will partner with real people, including physical therapists and health coaches, and receive:

  • A personalized care plan tailored to daily activities and long-term goals — even addressing multiple areas at once;
  • Exercise therapy sessions that can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, anytime and anywhere using the Hinge Health app;
  • One-on-one support to adjust programs and keep users on track; and
  • Instant feedback with motion tracking technology to improve form and confidence.

Employees and dependents age 18-plus enrolled in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska medical plan are eligible.

Huskers can start by visiting the program website. For more information, reach out to the university's benefits team at benefits@unl.edu.
