The UNL Employee Quilt Show opens Feb. 17 in the Nebraska Union’s Rotunda Gallery with an opening day reception planned for 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibit is open through Feb. 21 in the Nebraska Union gallery. It will also be on display at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum from March 1-13.
While the exhibition is in the Nebraska Union, viewers can vote for the favorite quilt award. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three quilts on Feb. 21.
UNL employees crafted all quilts in the exhibit. The exhibit includes a challenge in which quilters made 24-inch square quilts using only half-square triangles. The winner of the challenge category will receive a ribbon and a bundle of Fat Quarter (18 inch by 21 inch) fabrics.
The Rotunda Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
