Like building a house, relationships need a firm foundation.

Based on the acclaimed research of John and Julie Gottman, the Sound Relationship House Theory is a metaphor to explain what it takes to enrich marital friendship, learn to manage conflict, and create ways to support each other’s hopes for the future.

The Employee Assistance Program will offer a one-hour informational session on the Sound Relationship House Theory Nov. 23, from noon-1 p.m.. It will be a lighthearted overview of the essential components for relationship vitality. Participants will receive an optional brief, confidential questionnaire to identify areas of strength, challenge and target areas where corrective work is advised. Participants are welcome to attend with their partner, but it is not required. The facilitator, Valerie Williams, LMHP, is a certified Seven Principles Trainer and Level 3 trained in the Gottman Method.
