University of Nebraska–Lincoln employees and their adult dependents ages 18-79 enrolled in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska health plan now have access to a no-cost prediabetes and type 2 diabetes management program through Virta.
Virta is a virtual health program that provides personalized nutrition support, clinical guidance and tools to help participants manage blood sugar, support weight goals and potentially reduce the need for some diabetes medications. Participants receive access to a dedicated care team, a connected scale, blood glucose monitoring supplies and support through the Virta app.
