The Rural Drug Addiction Research Center, the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, and Worlds of Connections will host a hybrid screening of the film “Coming Clean” at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8. The event will include a Q&A with Ondi Timoner, the film’s award-winning director.
The screening will take place in person at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center and online. as well as online. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is available via Eventbrite.
“Coming Clean” is a feature documentary examining addiction through the eyes of people in recovery and political leaders, as they come together to bring the profiteers to justice and rebuild in the wake of the deadliest drug epidemic in our history.
Timoner is known to be one of the greatest talents in non-fiction filmmaking. She often takes on the stories of visionaries fighting against all odds with a gripping and unique mixed-media, narrative style.
