Bara Altartouri, a post-doctoral research associate in the Center for Biotechnology, examines an image of a bacteriophage, or virus that infect and replicate only in bacterial cells, imaged at 100,000-times magnification from the center’s Hitachi HT7800 transmission electron microscope. The center is located in the Morrison Microscopy Core Research Facility.
