Applications for the Clifton Builders Program, which aims to identify and develop students with high leadership and entrepreneurial potential, are now open to first-year students from all majors. The deadline for applying is Oct. 16.
Students selected to the program begin taking Clifton Builders courses in the fall of their sophomore year. Clifton Builders develop an advanced understanding of management, working with local businesses and organizational leadership to create actionable goals for improving workplace cultures. Local startups consult the program when conducting Gallup’s Q12 workplace engagement survey.
Participating students learn how to build successful businesses, teams and communities through several hands-on learning opportunities. They also put ideas to action right away via events such as the Builders Marketplace, where they develop and sell products or obstacle courses around town to engage with entrepreneurs in a competitive environment.
As the only program of its kind, Clifton Builders aims to help its students develop a distinctive skill set that employers are looking for and investors will respect.
