University of Nebraska-Lincoln employees have the chance to positively affect the lives of thousands through the 2021 Lincoln-area Combined Campaign for Health and Human Service.
The annual community fundraiser benefits three federations — Community Health Charities of Nebraska, Community Services Fund of Nebraska and United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County. The three federations represent more than 130 local agencies that assist members of the community.
“The wake of COVID-19 has left more Nebraskans relying on support from our state’s nonprofit organizations,” said Chancellor Ronnie Green. “The Combined Campaign is our chance to invest in our community, and every dollar counts.
Co-chairs for the university’s Combined Campaign are Chancellor Green and his wife, Jane.
A variety of giving options, some outlined here, are available.
“Your gift means even more this year as an investment in the health, education and financial stability of your neighbors,” Jane Green said. “Every dollar helps people in Lincoln and Lancaster County get support, stabilize home life and move forward to lead positive, productive lives.”
To help generate enthusiasm toward the fundraising campaign, the university will again award the Chancellor’s Cup based on the percentage of participation in specific campus offices. The award will be presented for two divisions — small office (less than 200 employees) and large office (more than 200 employees). The leaderboards, which will be updated regularly, are available here.
Pledge forms and additional details are available on the university’s 2021 Combined Campaign website. For more information, send email to unlcombinedcampaign@unl.edu.
