Under the review of Chancellor Ronnie Green, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s ROTC cadets performed drills, paraded in formation and received honors during the joint service review in Cook Pavilion on April 21.
The annual event is a celebration of the ROTC cadets and their commitment to service. Organized by the university’s Big Red Battalion (featuring representatives of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines ROTC programs), the event is open to university leaders, alumni, community members, ROTC program partners and special guests.
The university’s military science program was established in 1876 under provisions of the Morrill Act of 1862. Today, the military science and ROTC programs are an integral part of the university’s commitment to the veteran and military-connected communities.
