In a welcome back message sent Jan. 21, Chancellor Ronnie Green wrote about the many challenges the university community and nation faces — from new COVID-19 protocols to healing after election upheaval.
Green also looked ahead to the university’s weeklong celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the possible rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“We live not just in interesting times, but in exceptionally consequential ones,” Green wrote. “I hope we all commit to make the most of the life-changing opportunity and privilege to be a part of this university. There is no better place to be in times like this.
“Do well, be safe, take care of yourselves and one another, and have a great semester.”
