The ChamberFest and Honors ChamberFest concerts will take place Nov. 18-20 at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music.
On the opening night at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Music Building, three chamber groups will perform beginning with the Frattura Trio. A second chamber group will perform a piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the final group will perform a piece by Johannes Brahms.
On the second night at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall, four chamber groups will perform. A piano duo will perform a piece by Philip Glass. The La Mar Trio will then perform a piece by Antonín Dvořák. The Cascada Quartet will perform a piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Then the final chamber group of the night will perform three pieces including a piece by Sonny Rollins.
On the final night at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall, five chamber groups will perform. A piano duo opens the night playing a piece by Claude Debussy. An oboe and bass duo will then perform three movements from Bedtime Stories by Jody Nagel. A trombone quartet will then perform a piece by Eugène Bozza. A trio will then perform a piece by Ludwigvan Beethoven and then the final piece of the night (Café Music by Paul Schoenfield) will be performed by the Soleil Trio.
Groups formed at in the School of Music perform at ChamberFest and Honors ChamberFest. All of the performances are free and open to the public.

Nov. 24 — Double bassist Christian Chesanek will be giving his final degree recital in fulfillment of a Doctorate in Jazz Studies, 1:30 p.m., Westbrook Recital Hall. More information here.
