This past year, the Bureau of Sociological Research supported 129 projects, including 52 from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. A majority of projects utilized mixed-mode surveys to reach a wide range of participant groups. The bureau also expanded its impact through 51 projects with clients outside of the university and the state.
Some highlights from its annual report include:
- Research with agricultural producers about their operations and experiences
- An ongoing partnership with Doane University, where BOSR serves as the external evaluator for numerous grant-funded programs
- Recognition of bureau’s award-winning staff
In addition, the bureau had a successful year advancing the field through their own research contributions. Staff published four journal articles, authored three technical papers and continued sharing statewide insights through the bimonthly Nebraska Snapshots series.
