The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host Bug Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 8 as part of East Campus Discovery Days. The event will offer families a chance to explore the world of insects through hands-on activities, educational displays and interactive exhibits.
Held on the East Campus Mall, 3550 East Campus Loop, the free event will highlight entomology, pollinators and Nebraska ecosystems. Visitors can interact with scientists, explore insect collections and participate in activities designed for all ages.
In addition to Bug Fest activities, attendees can enjoy live music, food trucks, a farmers market and vendor fair, and ice cream from the newly renovated UNL Dairy Store. The Backyard Farmer garden also will be open for visitors to explore.
East Campus Discovery Days is free and open to the public. Food and crafts will be available for purchase. More information is available here.
