A retirement reception for Robert Bolin and Mary Cassner, professors in the University Libraries, is 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 4 in Love Library, Room 110.
After 44 years of research and service in the University Libraries, Cassner’s major contributions to academia are her research on the development of library services to distance and online students and supporting the international quilt studies research and programs at UNL. Cassner served as a liaison librarian to the College of Education and Human Sciences.
Bolin served as a liaison librarian to the College of Business Administration and military and naval sciences. He has developed finding aids for identifying early federal government technical reports from 1940s and 1950s; the most notable one is the “Bibliography of Scientific and Industrial Reports Online” database.
The reception is free and open to faculty, staff and students.
