Big Ten undergraduate course sharing continues in spring

The University of Nebraska—Lincoln has joined six universities in the Big Ten Academic Alliance to provide expanded online course offerings.

In the upcoming spring semester, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will again join Big Ten peers to offer undergraduates an opportunity to take one online course at a six partner universities at no cost to the student. Participating universities include Indiana University, Michigan State University, Pennsylvania State University, Rutgers University, Ohio State University and University of Maryland.

Offered through a Big Ten Academic Alliance program and developed in response to the many COVID-19 educational challenges, enrollment is available to every degree-seeking University of Nebraska–Lincoln undergraduate student. Courses cover a wide variety of topics including “The Supernatural and Folklore,” “Making of Modern India and Pakistan,” “Staging Resistance: Theater, Protest and Social Change,” and “American Business History.”

Interested students can browse available courses by accessing the program website at Big Ten Academic Alliance Online Course Sharing Program. Enrollment applications are currently being accepted by most of the participating schools — others will open on Jan. 4. Eligibility to enroll will be verified through student credentials.
