The College of Education and Human Sciences’ Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design students are teaming up once again with students from across the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus to present their biennial runway show. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. April 22 in the Nebraska Union, Centennial Ballroom.
Working with students from the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences (catering program), the Johnny Carson School of Theater (lighting and stage management), the Glenn Korff School of Music (composition) and the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture (floral design), textile design students are spotlighting the theme “Elements” and creating imaginative ensembles inspired by earth, air, fire and water.
Extending the collaborative effort beyond the UNL campus, students from Paul Mitchell the School of Lincoln will join UNL fashion design students to create hair and makeup stylings for the runway models. A special highlight will include the latest collections from professional designers and UNL alumni Kendra Benson of This Woman’s Work in Brooklyn, New York, and Jill Fellers of Jillian Fellers Bridal in Lincoln.
VIP sponsor tickets are $75. These tickets include front-row reserved seating, a VIP gift bag, a post-show dessert reception and a pre-show heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union, Regency Suite.
General admission tickets are $15.
