Members of the Lincoln community — including University of Nebraska–Lincoln students, faculty and staff — participated in the 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Rally and March on Jan. 20, 2019. The event packed the Nebraska Union Ballroom before participants marched to the Nebraska State Capitol.
The 26th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Rally and March will be offered virtually from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 18. The theme is “Walk Together | Rallying Steps Toward Equality, Justice, Kindness and Civility.”
All aspects of the 2021 event will be virtual and streamed via various platforms, including LNKTV Education website, LNKTV YouTube and LNKTV Facebook.
Additional ways to watch are available on the MLK Youth Rally website.
The youth rally and march is organized by a diverse group of area youth and is held in conjunction with the national recognition of the birthday of Dr. King. All components are intended to celebrate his legacy.
