A retirement reception for Hollis Anderson, senior scientific sourcing specialist, is 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 24 in the Beadle Center Atrium. The reception is free and open to the campus community.
Anderson has worked for the university for 46 years. Throughout his varying positions, he has been a constant and collaborative resource for thousands of researchers across campus, especially in his current role sourcing scientific materials and equipment.
He began his career at the university in the Animal Science Meat Testing Lab in 1972, and four years later became a lab manager in plant pathology for a virus research lab. From 1977 to 1991, he worked as the scientific and dental stores’ assistant manager. In 1991, Anderson joined purchasing, now known as procurement services, where he has continued to support the university.
Anderson spent his career in outstanding service to the academic and research mission of the university.
