The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host Love Your Heart, a series of educational events designed to build long-lasting habits that reduce the risk of heart disease, from Feb. 10-14.
Part of American Heart Month, the events are intended primarily for students but also open to faculty and staff.
Events include:
Know Your Numbers workshop, 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 10, Nebraska Union, Regency A
Free breakfast and wellness profiles ($25 for faculty and staff), 8 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 11, University Health Center, Medical Clinic (second level)
Zumba class, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Feb. 12, Nebraska East Union, Goldenrod/Sunflower rooms
Interactive heart-healthy cooking class, noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 13, University Health Center, Around the Kitchen Table (main lobby)
Trivia booths and free laptop stickers, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 14, Nebraska Union and Nebraska East Union
Some events require registration and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Love Your Heart is co-sponsored by OASIS, the University Health Center, the Multicultural Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Minority Health Careers Association.
