Huskers now have the chance to support University of Nebraska–Lincoln students during the COVID-19 pandemic by making purchases from the Nebraska Alumni Store.
The Nebraska Alumni Association will donate all profits from April sales of alumni merchandise online to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Hardship Fund.
The fund was recently created to support students facing sudden hardship due to a crisis such as food insecurity, natural disaster, financial emergency, home displacement or the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“Nebraskans stick together and support each other during challenging times, and this is a way for our alumni to show their Husker pride while giving back to students,” said Nebraska Alumni Association Executive Director Shelley Zaborowski. “Like many people in Nebraska and across the country, our students are now facing unexpected hardships because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Donating our proceeds of April sales is a small gesture, but we know every dollar can make a difference for a student who may have lost their job or are dealing with a sudden crisis.”
Donations also can be made directly to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Hardship Fund online.
