The summer students were keeping cool as Anok Timothy, a sophomore in computer science and student camp counselor, walked around with an umbrella to keep the students in the shade.

Upward Bound is a TRIO program for high school students to prepare them to excel in college by providing support, motivation and encouragement. It is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. Through this program, students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science as they are encouraged to pursue a collegiate degree in a STEM field.
