Planning is underway for the 2027 University of Nebraska–Lincoln All-Staff Conference. The planning committee is seeking staff members to help bring the professional development and community-building event to life.
The conference is a two-day event designed to provide staff with professional development opportunities, opportunities for cross-campus dialogue and support in all aspects of their university experience.
The planning committee plays a vital role in organizing interactive activities and sessions, brainstorming ideas and designing an engaging experience tailored specifically to university staff. Serving on the committee offers a unique opportunity to share ideas, collaborate with colleagues across departments and directly influence the success of the conference.
Subcommittees and areas of focus
Volunteers can choose to serve on one of six specialized subcommittees that will work together to execute the event:
Communication Committee: Directs event messaging, brand visibility and attendee engagement across channels before, during and after the conference.
Technology Committee: Manages technical infrastructure, digital platforms and audiovisual execution to ensure a seamless presentation experience.
Program Committee: Curates educational and inspirational content, ensuring a balanced, valuable and engaging schedule.
Volunteer Committee: Prepares and directs the volunteer workforce needed to execute event operations efficiently.
Logistics Committee: Oversees day-of operations, venue planning, catering and safety to ensure a seamless conference.
Procurement Committee: Secures corporate and organizational sponsorships and sources donated items for event prize drawings.
As a larger, collaborative body, the full planning committee will meet monthly, while subcommittee meetings will be scheduled as needed to advance specific project milestones. The level of involvement will vary depending on the subcommittee and the time of year relative to the conference.
