An “Afternoon of Choirs” event, featuring three choirs from UNL’s Glenn Korff School of Music, will take center stage at 3 p.m. March 15 in Kimball Recital Hall.
The event will begin with the University Women’s Chorale conducted by Therees Hibbard. They will be performing six pieces including “Gloria” by Ola Gjeilo and “Zion’s Walls” by Aaron Copland.
The All-Collegiate Choir, conducted by Matthew Armstrong, will then perform seven songs including “Ave Maria” by Javier Busto and “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye” by Cole Porter.
The Varsity Men’s Chorus, conducted by Pete Eklund, will then conclude the afternoon with six songs including “Darest Thou Now, O Soul” by Charlie Leftridge, with text by Walt Whitman.
