The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 170 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most current seven-day period (Nov. 12-18).
During that same span, 1,729 tests were conducted on students, faculty and staff. Tests are conducted (by appointment only) on campus at the TestNebraska facility in the 17th and R Streets parking garage, the University Health Center and the random mitigation testing station in the East Stadium loop, as well as at off-campus medical facilities. The positivity rate during the week was 9.8 percent.
With the end of the semester approaching and to encourage students to get tested before they return home for Thanksgiving and other holiday celebrations, the university began expanding access to its COVID-19 testing Nov. 16. Learn more here.
Since university-specific testing began on Aug. 12, 1,571 total cases have been recorded out of 16,277 tests, for a positivity rate of 9.7%.
