The University Program Council presents back-to-back shows featuring hypnotist Jim Wand at 7 and 9 p.m. Jan. 22 in the East Union, Great Plains Room. This event will be free for University of Nebraska-Lincoln students with a valid NCard and $5 for faculty, staff and the public.

Wand has been involved in the field of hypnosis for more than 25 years and, according to Hypnotism.com, he is “one of the most professional hypnotic entertainers in the world today.” Having visited 47 states, Wand has become a well-known entertainer for college students.

Wand has worked with such personalities as Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Carrot Top, Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Probst, Sylvester Stallone, George Strait and The Judds. Wand has also appeared on numerous TV programs including the national FOX special “WOW,” “The Judge Joe Brown Show,” the Discovery Channel, Comedy Central and numerous other appearances on FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS.

UPC is a student organization that provides diverse, educational and entertaining programs to enhance the UNL community. UPC acts as the executive body responsible for the implementation of programs and activities funded by University Programs and Facilities Fees. For more than 75 years, UPC has been providing entertainment for UNL students in the form of films, speakers, concerts and more.
