The work of composition students will be featured in the “Wet Ink!” concerts, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and 25 in Westbook Music Building, Room 119. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

The Wet Ink! concerts are produced by the Glenn Korff School of Music each semester and feature new student compositions. The students work on the pieces all semester, putting in more than 50 hours of work, ranging from creation of the composition to rehearsal.

The Nov. 24 program features new music for double reed ensemble, string quintet, trombone quartet, brass quintet, jazz combo, and solo works for alto saxophone, piano, and viola.

The Nov. 25 program includes works for string quartet, saxophone quartet, woodwind duet, art song, solo piano, and a new work for vocal jazz ensemble with strings.

During the concerts, each composer will present an introduction to his or her piece.
