The 2016 Spring Teaching and Learning Symposium is 1-3:30 p.m. April 1 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. The event is open to University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty.

The symposium, designed to engage educators across campus in conversations about inclusiveness in teaching and learning, will focus on practical strategies for facilitating challenging conversations, designing diverse course content and promoting awareness of and reflection about diversity.

The symposium will feature a student panel and an all-participant workshop facilitated by Shari Saunders, associate clinical professor in educational studies at the University of Michigan and co-author of “Creating Inclusive College Classrooms.”

Following the all-participant workshop, attendees will choose from concurrent breakout sessions on key topics such as teamwork, classroom space, future learning technologies and motivation and engagement.
