UNL is participating in Sit with Me, a national awareness campaign to garner support for diversity in information technology and computing.

The UNL campaign will launch with an 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 2 event in the Nebraska Union. The event will involve writing a few words on a whiteboard about why diversity is important, taking a photo in an iconic red chair and sharing the image on social media.

The Sit with Me event is sponsored by the UNL ACM-W chapter (now called Computing for All), the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology Services.
