Phishing alert issued for ‘Allied Electronics Invoice’ email

The Information Technology Services security team has issued a new email phishing alert.

The scam features an email with the subject line “Allied Electronics Invoice.” An attachment in the email includes a Trojan virus. Information Technology Services reports that the attack is spreading by sending messages through infected accounts.

All UNL faculty, staff and students who have received the email should delete it. Individuals who have opened the email and clicked the attachment should contact their local information technology support or the Computer Help Center at mysupport@unl.edu, 402-472-3970 or 866-472-3970.
