Outdoor Adventures Center’s used gear sale is April 3

UNL students partake in an Outdoor Adventures Center kayaking trip to the Nishnabotna River in Iowa. The center will hold a public sale of used equipment on April 3. Proceeds are used to purchase new and updated gear for the center.

The Outdoor Adventures Center is hosting a used-gear sale from 6 to 8 p.m. April 3 at 930 N. 14th St. The sale is open to the public.

Items, brands, and prices include (but not limited to): • Mountain Hardwear tents $45-$460 • Mountain Hardwear sleeping bags • Trek mountain bikes $600-$4,700 • Crazy Creek chairs • Perception kayaks $350 • Alpina cross country ski equipment • MSR stoves • Gregory Palisade backpacks $60 • PFDs $5-$30 • Climbing shoes $10

All gear is sold in “as is condition.” All sales are final, no returns or exchanges.

Gear in this year’s sale was previously used by UNL students and participants in the center’s academic classes, adventures trips and gear rentals. The sale is held every two to three years, with proceeds reinvested into the purchase of new and updated gear for UNL students to use.
