The Outdoor Adventures Center is now offering Family Climb Days for adventuring families. The special events are held 9–11 a.m. two Saturdays a month and are focused on great experiences for families and learning new skills.

Family Climbs are held at the Outdoor Adventures Center (930 North 14th St.) on the following spring dates:

• Feb. 28

• March 28

• April 11

• April 25

• May 10

• May 23

Outdoor Adventures staff will provide the belay, the gear and all the training needed for families to venture onto the climbing wall. Cost is $40 for families of UNL students or Campus Rec Center/Outdoor Adventures Center members and $50 for General Public families. Cost is for families with up to five members; additional members can attend for an additional fee of $10 per child.

Space is limited so families are encouraged to call ahead to secure a spot at 402-472-4777. Walk-ins will be accepted if space is available.

The Outdoor Adventures Center opened in May 2014 and hosts other opportunities for children to climb including birthday party rentals, climbing and bouldering sessions (as a part of Husker Summer Camps) and a new high school climbing camp in summer 2015.
