Deirdre McCloskey, a professor from the University of Illinois at Chicago, will give a reading from and discuss her book, “Crossing: A Memoir,” 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the LGBTQA+ Resource Center, room 346, Nebraska Union.

McCloskey is a well-known economist, historian and rhetorician. She has written 16 books and around 400 scholarly pieces on topics ranging form technical economics and statistics to transgender advocacy and the ethics of bourgeois virtues. She teachers economics, history, English and communications at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The reading and talk are free and open to the public.
