UNL’s Employee Assistance Program is offering a six-week parenting class based on the “Parenting the Love and Logic Way” program. The class will include new curriculum.

“Love and Logic” is a program that offers strategies to raise a responsible child that learns from the consequences of their own mistakes. Participants will learn about preparing children for the real world and avoiding power struggles by letting empathy and consequences do the teaching.

The program begins with a 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Oct. 15 class at the 501 Building, Room 22. Participants will receive an overview of the class schedule. Educational materials that reinforce lessons from videos and discussions will be given during each class.

The remaining five classes will meet 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Thursdays in the 501 Building. Area A parking is available around the 501 Building. Participants without an Area A parking permit can park in the Stadium Garage on the corner of Stadium Drive and T Street. EAP will validate parking for individuals who use the Stadium Garage.
