Johnsgard presents ‘Cranes of North American and Japan’ Feb. 19

Paul. A. Johnsgard, foundation professor emeritus of biological science at UNL, will present a talk, “Cranes of North America and Japan,” at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Nebraska Union Heritage Room.

The talk is sponsored by the Kawasaki Reading Room for Japanese Studies, which is in the adjacent Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.

Following the talk, there will be a reception from 4:30-5 p.m. in the Kawasaki Reading Room. A selection of Johnsgard’s published drawings of cranes and five of his books on cranes will be displayed.

Johnsgard is the author of more than 60 books, which nearly all deal with birds, ecology and conservation.
