Husker road race to benefit pediatric brain cancer research

Registration is open for the third annual Nebraska Football Uplifting Athletes Road Race. The event, which includes both a mile fun run and a competitive five-kilometer race, will be held July 19 outside of Memorial Stadium.

The fun run will begin at 8 a.m., and the 5K will start at approximately 8:30 a.m. The start of the race will be at the Stadium Drive loop just outside the 501 building on campus. The 5K will travel through Innovation Campus and around the Devaney/Hendricks Training Complex.

The cost will be $25 for the mile run and $30 for the 5K. Proceeds from the race benefit pediatric brain cancer research. Runners receive a T-shirt and bracelet.

Husker football student-athletes will be on hand to provide support and encouragement throughout both races. There will be an opportunity for interaction with players before and after each race.
