Back-to-campus time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will again see thousands of students moving in to their residence halls in the span of a few days prior to the start of fall semester classes on Aug. 24.

Most students will be moving in to their residence halls from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 21. Students designated for early arrival for Sorority Recruitment will begin moving in on Aug. 17. Visitors and Lincoln residents should be aware of minor traffic delays in the City Campus vicinity because of lane closings and some congestion from move-in traffic.

Motorists traveling through campus will find closed driving lanes on 16th and 17th streets. Students and parents should plan for delays because parking near many residence halls is limited.

Students and parents have been advised to use drop-off, move-in parking for one hour only near their assigned residence halls, and to visit the UNL Housing move-in website, http://housing.unl.edu/movein, for the latest information on assigned parking for each residence hall. The special move-in zones are limited to one-hour parking; after that, vehicles are required to move to other parking locations.

A “move-in” guidebook app is downloadable to smart phones or tablets. The mobile application has information including maps (GPS-based), contact information and more about arriving on campus. Download the guidebook app at http://guidebook.com/g/UNLmovein .
